FEMFORCE #140
Synopsis:
All the divergent plotlines touched on over the last 15 issues come
to a head as a group of super-powered antagonists (including a member
of the FF gone bad) under the control of a power-mad alien threat
from decades past have lured The FEMFORCE to a secluded spot for
a final showdown.
This issue's lead story is the first half of writer
Chris Irving's opus, "Nothing To Fear But Fear Itself".
See the FF (with General Roberta Strock in tow) in pitched battle
in a prehistoric jungle!! See Nightveil lose her mystical abilities,
and returned to the non-powered status of The BLUE BULLETEER!! See
MS. VICTORY meet a shocking new "family member"!! See SHE-CAT
fight with the bad guys!! Witness the supreme villainy the twisted
demi-god, STARDUST THE SUPER-WIZARD!! Guest- starring MR. MOD and
The SCARAB. Scripted by Chris Irving, with art by Larry Guidry, Guillermo
Sanna, Jeff Austin and Rob Landsley.
Then, the art team of Guidry
and Austin returns on an Enrico Teodorani- written back-up set in
the early days of World War II. Founding FFer RIO RITA fights Fascism
on her own while undercover in a tiny Mexican town in "Dark
Angel".
But that's not all, because when you flip the book over,
the back half of FF #140 brings you the 4th big issue of GARGANTARAMA-THE
COMIC BOOK!! More fun and frivolity starring the giant-sized ladies;
this issue with a strong FEMFORCE slant, as the MS. VICTORY, SHE-CAT
and NIGHTVEIL must try to deal with an insidious plot by the villainous
DARKFIRE as she attempts to manipulate the economy-sized GARAGANTA
herself for evil purposes in "Bedtime For Garganta". Written
by Bill Black, with 3D digital art by cover artist Uroboros. Guest-starring
CAPTAIN FREEDOM.
Then, a weight-reducing formula called No Biggie
goes haywire with surprising GTS ramifications in "Side Effects
May Vary", written and drawn by Stephanie Sanderson-Heike, with
inks by Mark Heike, and finally a sequel to last issues' classic "Carry
A Big Torch", as Dr. Henry Lewis and the oversized Betty Blake
are back; chased by the military, but ready to fight back, 'till
the FF steps in!! Check out the GTS catfight between Betty and The
FEMFORCE' S own giant girl, "TOO TALL" TARA!! Story and
art by Chad Halcom, with inks by Mark Heike.
Another great 44 pages
of all-new, never-before seen material between both halves of this
smashing double-feature of action and "good girl art" fun.
