Geoff Johns' Avengers
Geoff Johns is the new scribe on the Avengers, one of Marvel's hottest titles. To capitalize on the all the publicity, Marvel is launching a new line featuring characters Geoff is using in his run. Marvel has commissioned Aragorn Studios to provide a couple of new sculpts and is updating some of the Marvel Gold figures. The first wave features four of the popular Assemblers, Iron Man, Falcon, Black Panther and Warbird.

Iron Man is first up, from Aragorn Studios with a fresh look designed by Grell and Ryan in Iron Man's own book. He has 12 points of articulation. The paint job gives a nice metallic sheen. The final model will ship with a lighted chest beam.

Black Panther and Falcon are re-releases from the Marvel Gold series with updated costume designs. The Panther has ornamation added in Priest's run of his own book, along with a collar to the cape that came with the original release.

The Falcon's gloves were resculpted and the figure was repainted to match his latest costume colors.

Warbird is a new sculpt from Aragorn Studios. It's nice but has limited articulation compared to the rest of the line.
