DC DIRECT EXCLUSIVE!!!
These pix were taken by our spy inside the headquarters of DCD
Direct.
They show prototypes of figures to be released in the 3rd quarter
of 2003.
We apologize for the quality of the photos, but our mole had
to risk life and limb to bring these exclusive images to the
actionfigure-loving world, and had to use a small homebuilt
camera made from a matchbook, a rubberband, and a bit of aluminum
foil.
ENJOY!
Nightwing- Former Batman sidekick Robin the Boy Wonder has
grown up and become a hero in his own right. Nightwing, the
protector of Bludhaven, and member of the Titans. Ready for
action, so criminals beware!
Starman of 1951-In the brilliant Starman series by James Robinson,
we saw the various histories of the different men who carried
the name of Starman. This is the man who was Starman for a year
and a day in 1951. Through the magic of Kent Nelson, David Knight
was given a "moment in time" to shine brightly in
the skies over Opal City.
Starman (Jack Knight)-This is a re-sculpt of a previously released
figure.
This Jack Knight is more in scale with the rest of the DCD line,
and is better proportioned. Also included with this figure is
a special exclusive Pocket Hero; The Modern Shade!
The Huntress-A FIRST from DCD Because the fans demanded it!
The PreCrisis Huntress!!! Thats right, Helena Wayne, the Earth
2 Huntress, Daughter of Batman and Catwoman of Earth 2! Member
of the JSA and Infinity Inc. Ready to fight crime wherever it
may be found. This is being released partly because of fan requests,
and to tie in with the hoped for success of the Birds of Prey
TV series. Rumor has it that the Huntress will be the fan favorite.
The Spectre-This is a repaint of the original glow in the dark
version.
This will coincide with the release of the Spectre Archives
to be released Summer '03.
Captain Marvel-To celebrate the launch of the new Shazam Mini-Series,
DCD is releasing yet another Captain Marvel figure. This time
a little bulkier, with more muscle definition. Time will tell
whether or not this one will be accepted by the Shazam fans.
Mr Teriffic-Another figure Golden Age fans have been begging
for, Terry Sloane aka Mr Terrific, will soon see the light of
day! Mr T, who was a mental giant, honed his body to the peak
of physical perfection, and stood by his motto of Fair Play.
A great Hero who never really got the recognition he deserved.
Obsidian-Former member of Infinity Inc, son of the original
Green Lantern, Alan Scott.
Now a deadly being who rules the shadow world. A formidable
foe who nearly destroyed the current JSA. DCD presents the Obsidian
Action figure!
