Pros
and Cons
As
a continuation of the Adventures of The DC Universe Hasbro as
announced this year a new sub-line of figures called the "Variations
that Make Sense" line. These will come in "themed"
waves. The first waves are all under the heading "Pros and
Cons." These figures consist of 2 assortments that will run
simultaneously with each other broken into 2 groups: popular villains
incarcerated convicts and favorites from the DCU as in their everyday
life as professionals.
Assortment
1-The Pros:
Bruce
Wayne - Nothing says "Hey! Look at me I lead a double life
as a costumed hero!" quite as much as a fire-engine red overcoat.
Well, those days are gone for Bruce Wayne and now thanks to Hasbro's
"Variations that Make Sense" line Bruce can get back
to running Wayne Enterprises without the questioning eyes of ALL
of Gotham. Bruce has 5 points of articulation and come with a
briefcase (not shown) (Alfred NOT included)
Clark
Kent - It's a bird! It's a plane! It's! Oh, wait. It's just a
guy in a suit. Clark has 7 points of articulation. He comes with
a removable hat, a suitcase and a phone booth.
Lois
Lane - Lois looks like she is ready to get some news.
Commissioner Gordon - There was nothing wrong with the Commissioner
Gordon figure that Hasbro gave us last year... except he was always
complaining about how cold he was on those chilly Gotham nights.
So, they took pity on him gave him his trademark trench coat and
5 points of articulation and put him in their "Variations
that Make Sense" line.
Ra's
Al Ghul - Remember all those Batman: The Animated Series episodes
with Ra's in his green tights and bright yellow armor? Yeah. Neither
do we, and thank goodness neither did Hasbro. So finally they
gave us Ra's in an outfit he ACTUALLY wore! Ra's has a removable
cape and 5 points of articulation.
Lex
Luthor - This is one of the reasons that Hasbro's "Variations
that Make Sense" line was created. They knew they needed
to get popular villains out of made-up costumes into outfits that
they actually wore in an episode. Luthor has 5 points of articulation.
The
Penguin (Casual) - Ah! This is the life. A velvet robe, a top
hat and a smooth smoke. Casual Penguin has 4 points of articulation
and a removable cigarette holder.
