Joss Whedon’s “Dollhouse”
Recipes
Thanks to DST, Mezco, NECA Toys, SOTA Toys, Art Asylum, Jakks
Pacific & McFarlane for the parts.
Disco-Doll Echo
She’s from the “Ghost” episode.
I used a deluxe Faith head, Heroes Nikki body and Princess Cordy
legs. I sculpted her hair and dress. I altered her forehead
and the shape of her arms and legs to make them muscular but
slim. I put her in a dancing position.
I painted her to look like Echo. She comes with a red disco floor
stand with a floor peg to hold her steady.
Hard-Target Echo
She’s from “The Target” episode.
I used a deluxe Faith head, Stargate Vala body and Dawn arms.
I altered her forehead and sculpted her hair and two tops. I
altered her combat trousers to a better shape.
I painted her to look like Echo, worried by the stressful situation.
She has some smears of dirt on her face and clothes.
She has a walkie-talkie. She has a rough terrain stand with a
foot peg to keep her stead. She has a cross-bow arrow protruding
from the tree-trunk.
Dollhouse-Handler Boyd Langton
He’s from the "Gray Hour" episode.
I used a Jason Wynn figure with an Al Simmons head. I sculpted
his hair and ears. I altered his cheeks, chin and forehead.
I also altered his shoes and made his trousers longer.
I painted him to look like Boyd. He has a wooden floor stand
with a peg to hold him steady.
Dollhouse-Director Adele DeWitt
She’s from the “Ghost” episode.
I used a Ludmilla Drago head, BSG Six body, Dawn arms and Dakota
legs. I sculpted her hair, dress and necklace. I altered the
shape of her nose and forehead.
I painted her to look like Adele. She comes with a remote control
and a surveillance screen. She has her office stand. I added
a floor peg to hold her steady.
Dollhouse-Programmer Topher Brink
He’s from the “Ghost” episode.
I used a Heroes Sylar figure with a Riddick head. I altered his
nose and chin. I sculpted his hair, shirt and tank-top. I smoothed
over his trousers and sculpted the pockets.
I painted him to look like Topher. I used paint and pen on his
top.
He has a shelf, laptop, microscope and wooden floor stand with
a peg to hold him steady.
Dollhouse-Doctor Claire Saunders
She’s from the “Ghost” episode.
I used an Illyria figure with Glory arms and Dakota legs. I sculpted
her hair, dress and coat.
I painted her to look like Claire. She has some fine scars across
her face.
She comes with a pen, chart and a wooden floor stand with a peg
to hold her steady.
Memory-Wipe Sierra
She’s from the “Ghost” episode.
I used a Lost Shannon body with a Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon
Yu Shu Lien head. I smoothed over the bikini straps and sculpted
the bandages over her bosom and hips. I sculpted her tied up
hair and altered the shape of her nose to make it longer with
smaller nostrils.
I painted her to look like Sierra.
I didn't have the dentist-chair type thing from the series, so
I decided to use what I did have to make a believable-looking
contraption for mind-wiping. I used parts from the X-Files and
the Matrix, with some fairy lights and wire.
FBI-Agent Paul Ballard
He’s from the “Stage Fright” episode.
I used a Patrick Bateman figure with a Helo head and Twilight
Edward hands. I sculpted his neck and shirt cuffs. I also altered
his hairline.
I painted him to look like Ballard. He comes with a gun and an
FBI badge with his picture on it. He has a factory floor stand
with a peg to hold him steady.
