Light-Up-Shrouded Mage
I used a Johnny Storm head, Galadriel arms, Eowyn feet
and robes from Professor Snape and Aragorn.
I sculpted a hollow torso to give structure to the robes.
I took the cover off a 3" torch and pushed it through
the torso. The bulb fits right up inside the head.
I sculpted the head scarf, sleeves and the folds of the
under-robe. I put some stitches in the rubber robes to give
them shape.
He is holding a marble as his ball of faux-deadly blue magic!
I decided to remove the blue fluffy bits you can see on the
in-progress photo. When painted, they looked like extra fingers.
The custom is in two parts, so that he can be separated at the waist and the
torch switched on or off by twisting the end. |

Light-Up-Hobo-Spike
I used a Vampire Spike figure, shirtless Spike head and
Johnny Storm's left hand and flame. The planter is Spiderman
Mary Jane's balcony. The tree and foliage came with a Crouching
Tiger figure.
I filled in between the columns. I sculpted a hollow in
the planter. I took the cover off a 3" torch and pushed
it through. The bulb fits inside his hand. I sculpted the
mud, then repainted the variegated green foliage and the
dead fallen leaves.
I sculpted his shirt and altered his sleeves. I painted him
looking at his fiery hand in horror, as he wakes up. He has
a tear in his right eye and green smudge on his left cheek. |

Holding-Hands-on-Fire Buffy & Spike
I used a Dracula Buffy with Deluxe Buffy head and arms.
I re-shaped her jeans and shoes, then sculpted her hair,
camisole, blouse, jacket and bell sleeves. She's painted
to be looking lovingly at Spike. She had wounds, blood stains
and dust smudges.
I used a Season 5 Spike figure with a vamp coat. I sculpted
his necklace chain and sleeves. He's looking lovingly at
Buffy, while fighting the pain.
I used parts of the Charmed 2 set to make the stand. I
used battery-operated fairly lights to set the 3 points of
light.
One light is pushed into the flame above their hands. I drilled
a hole through Spike's chest, glued a crystal in the front
and poked another light through his back. He also has a spot
light above his head. |

Light-Up-Saving-the-World Spike
Ever since I saw the horrid orange resin Spike figure,
I've wanted to make him into an episode specific burning-up
Chosen Spike.
I planned to use Johnny Storm's light-up body parts but
I couldn't make it work. I just used a few of his flames.
I remembered I had a gadget with tiny red lights on wires,
so I drilled holes into Wesley's cabinet to poke the lights
through. I added sculpey and warped the cabinet by boiling.
I painted the stand to look like rock.
I lined up Spike to work out where the lights showed through.
I sculpted the sleeves and cut his coat to show the lights.
I drilled into the figure in a few places to give some burn
texture.
I made the amulet from a glass bead. I painted parts of his
body with flesh and clothes and some as burns. |
