Buffy the Vampire Slayer *Light-Up* Line
Sasha (aka MsBigPileofDust)
has taken the sculpts made by Moore Action Collectibles and Diamond
Select Toys and reworked them to produce a range of
exclusive *Light-Up* figuresfor Buffy
the Vampire Slayer.
Most of these feature Spike. He’s always on fire for one
reason or another!

Light-Up-Shrouded Mage
In Season 3 of BtVS, the Mayor employs a powerful Mage
to remove Angel’s soul, making him a vicious vampire
again. The blue-skinned Mage does an impressive swirly light-show,
as his own eyes glow orange.
Unfortunately for the Mayor and his henchman, Faith, it
was all smoke and mirrors. It turns out that the Mage owed
Rupert Giles a favour. Giles introduced him to his wife!
Light-Up Feature
The figure opens in the middle and has a torch pushed through
the torso with the bulb in his head. The eyes light up. |

Light-Up-Hobo-Spike
In Season 3 of BtVS, the vampire Spike stumbles back
to Sunnydale on a bender. Drusilla has left him for a Chaos
Demon. He blames Angel for turning her against him.
Spike passes out drunk in Angel’s garden, on top
of a planter. He wakes up with his hand on fire, when the
morning sun scorches it. He manages to douse the flames but
his anger has been ignited.
Light-Up Feature
The base conceals a torch. The bulb slots into his wrist,
lighting his hand and the flame. |

Holding-Hands-on-Fire Buffy & Spike
By the finale of BtVS in Season 7, “Chosen”,
a lot has changed. Spike has fallen in love with Buffy and
realised he’ll never win her heart without winning
his soul.
They are in the cavern of the Hellmouth, fighting an army
of Uber-vampires. Spike is wearing an amulet which taps into
his new soul and channels sunlight through the cavern, helping
to defeat the army.
Things aren’t looking good for Spike, though. He’s
trapped by the power of the amulet and sunlight isn’t
good for a vampire. As his hand sets alight, Buffy clasps
it to say goodbye.
Buffy (for the first time): “I
love you”.
Spike: “No, you don’t,
but thanks for saying it. Now go! I want to see how it ends”.
Light-Up Feature
Battery powered white fairy lights are hidden behind the stand.
One light is pushed into the fiery hands, one through his
chest to light the amulet, and one spot-lights his head. |
|
Light-Up-Saving-the-World Spike
After Buffy escapes in the finale of BtVS, “Chosen”,
Spike stays behind to make sure that the Hellmouth closes
forever.
He laughs as the flames spring up all over his body, then
howls as they engulf him. The Hellmouth implodes and the
entire town of Sunnydale collapses into it. Buffy and her
cohorts escape to the city limits just in time to avoid the
crater.
Light-Up Feature
Battery powered red fairy lights are hidden behind the stand.
Bulbs are pushed through into the orange resin figure at strategic
places, then parts of the figure painted as flesh and burn. |
