The Uncanny Amazers are a peripheral, super-powered
team in the 30th Century DC Universe. That being said, and
knowing
the customizer that I am, you know they have to have something
to do with The Legion. The skinny is that The Uncanny Amazers
are champions of the planet Xanthu. A few Amazers have crossed
over to become Legionnaires, but some have remained to defend
their isolated, home planet. These are their figures.
Atmos: He’s the resident power house for the Amazers,
and he may have other powers too. Unfortunately the Amazers
don’t get enough screen time to define all of their attributes.
He does have a nifty little hair do though, but he also suffers
from an Invisibility disease that makes parts of his body disappear.
Insect Queen: The
rebooted Lonna Leing has the power to change her body or parts
there of, into insect bodies or parts there
of. Along with that comes the ability to do things that insects
do. Make honey, sting, spin webs (even though Spiders are arachnids)
are just a few of the things she’s done. Insect Queen
comes with interchangeable parts.
Atom’x: You are looking at the Randall Burroughs figure.
Atom’x is one of the two consciousnesses that came together
to form Wildfire. What can you say about a guy who liked to
wear hot pink? He had radiation powers and was a bit impulsive.
The Biker Shorts or Bald Guy: They don’t come any more “minor” than
this character. His name was never given, his powers were never
hinted at, all he did was show up in two panels. But you can’t
complete your Uncanny Amazers collection without him, so here
he is.
Konk: Her super power is detaching her head from her body
which lends itself well to the dynamic super head butts she
delivers
to all sorts of villainy. Don’t ask about the physiological
ramifications of such a super power, just say, “Only
on the planet Xanthu,” and shake your head with every
other sentient in the United Planets. |
