"Jason of Star Command" was one of the few live-action series created by Filmation. It aired during the Saturday morning cartoons on CBS from 1978-1980. It was serialized in the style of the old "Buck Rodgers" and "Flash Gordon" films, and it certainly captured that essence, with a 1970's twist.
"Jason of Star Command" is a mostly-forgotten classic that deserves far more recognition than it receives. I've created this custom figure set to give my generation a blast from their past, and to pique the curiosity of younger sci-fi fans who may have never heard of it.

Jason is the leading hero in the live-action Filmation series "Jason of Star Command", played by Craig Littler. In the palm of his hand is W1K1, his spunky little robot pal.
Dragos, self-titled Master of the Cosmos, is the leading villain in the live-action Filmation series "Jason of Star Command", played by Sid Haig.
I used a WWE Big Show figure as his base. I used an actual glass rhinestone for his eye. His cape is from a MOTUC Chief Carnivus figure.
Captain Nicole Davidoff is an officer of Star Command in season one of the live-action Filmation series "Jason of Star Command", played by Susan O'Hanlon (AKA Susan Pratt).
Professor E.J. Parsafoot is the quirky scientific advisor at Star Command and an instructor at Space Academy in the live-action Filmation series "Jason of Star Command", played by Charlie Dell.
Samantha, the mysterious agent of Star Command from season two of the live-action Filmation series "Jason of Star Command." She was played by Tamara Dobson, most famous for her role as Cleopatra Jones.
Commander Carnavin is the leader of Star Command from season one of the live-action Filmation series "Jason of Star Command." Commander Carnavin is played by James Doohan, best known as Scotty from "Star Trek". In fact, he left this series after season one because he had to go film "Star Trek: The Motion Picture".
Canarvin is wearing the exact same costume that Commander Gampu (Jonathan Harris, previously Dr. Smith from "Lost in Space") wore in Filmation's previous TV series, "Space Academy". "Jason of Star Command" is a spin-off of "Space Academy".
Commander Stone, a blue-skinned Tantalusian, is the leader of Star Command from season two of the live-action Filmation series "Jason of Star Command." Stone, the strict "by the book" Commander, is played by John Russell. Known for starring in countless Westerns and war films, this was his first and only sci-fi role. According to the JoSC DVD commentary, he really hated having his skin painted blue.
