Recipe:
I’ve always liked the way some customizers are able to
take 3 or 4 disparate figures, and combine them to come up
with
a totally new character. I thought I’d try
this myself. I took 3 Playmates’ Star Trek figures,
and created…..another Star Trek figure. At least
it’s a start.
The Lt. Munro figure was created
from:
1) the body and head of Riker in First Contact uniform
figure which was a Target store exclusive awhile back;
2) the
arms of a Cadet LaForge figure;
3) the legs of a
Cadet Data figure.
I dremeled off Riker’s
beard, and shaped the face to give it the angular, CGI-likeness
of Lt. Munro in the game, but it ended
up looking
more like a very young Ronald Reagan. The figure
isn’t 100% accurate with the uniforms of the characters
in the game, but the approximation is fairly close.
The mangled,
armless and legless Borg drone was customized by my dog Edgar,
from a Playmates figure that was inadvertently left within
his reach.
The Elite Force game series are all pretty much fun, especially
if you like first
person, bug-blastin’shooter games. I recommend
them.
