The time: late 1940’s. The place: A run-down medical
facility at a secret location on an Air Force base somewhere
in the American Southwest. The purpose: examination by autopsy
of a extraterrestrial being.
When initially aired in 1995, “Alien
Autopsy: Fact or Fiction?” was widely considered to be
one of the most controversial TV documentary specials ever
aired in prime time. According to Time magazine, this famous
FOX Network program stirred the "liveliest debate of any
home movie since the Zapruder Film.” The "home movie" in
question purports to show the actual dissection of an alien
being, supposedly recovered and analyzed by the U.S. military
near Roswell, New Mexico in 1947. Jonathan Frakes hosted this
documentary.
Now, the Special
Edition DVD version is being released. As part of the re-release
promotion, Vidmark is making available a special mailaway figure
set offer for purchasers of this DVD. This mailaway figure
set includes the host of the documentary, Jonathan Frakes,
as well
as a figure of the alien being, and a medical gurney.
These figures are limited to 5,000 sets, and are sure to sell-out
fast. A certificate redeemable
for the set is found in each DVD.
