About CustomCon

CustomCon is a fictional toy show showcasing the work of several customizers. You will not find these toys in your local toy store.

Stars and Stripes: Captain America

Lagomorph Ltd. is proud to debut their new lines of action figures for the collector who is very specific about what they want in an action figure, namely, "anything made by Lagomorph, Ltd." Whenever Lagomorph, Ltd. hears that plantive cry, they leap (as it were) into action and eventually manage to get something accomplished. This year they bring three differing scales and styles to the table.

First is a five-inch line, called "Stars and Stripes: Captain America".

Unusually, it doesn't actually have Captain America in it, but several of his allies and antagonists. We at Lagomorph Ltd. are pretty sure if you're a Cap fan, you already have his action figure and don't particularly need another fourteen variants ("Nuclear Disposal Specialist Captain America", "Underground Dance Club Hip-Hop Captain America with Big Pants Action"). However, Toy Biz seems reluctant to give with the sparring partners. So we're here, as always, to help.

Stars and Stripes's first wave includes the U.S.Agent, to scale with your previous five-inch Captain America, so, well, basically nearly six inches of super-patriotic snarl.

Next is Cap's fellow Avenger, the Black Widow. Natasha Romanov has no accessories, but we're sure you can find some heavy black thread if you really need her "widow's line". Lagomorph Ltd. has a commitment to not including lame action features.

To go with the two allies -- well, okay, U.S.Agent is kind of a technicality there -- are two foes.

First is the Gallic mercenary known as Batroc the Leaper! Perrenial opponent of Cap and sometime ally, when it suits his purposes, Batroc also comes with one accessory (his mustache) and no action feature. Perhaps you could set up a ruler to flip him into the air so as to arc him into Captain America's waiting fist.

Last in this wave is the sinister and deadly Taskmaster. Master of everyone else's fighting style and a canny opponent in any case since he doesn't suffer from "I Must Continue Fighting" syndrome, Taskmaster recently changed his costume. Watch for a future (six-inch Legends) assortment to feature his updated threads. This version, however, is the classic and includes Taskmaster's copies of: Captain America's shield, Black Knight's sword, Hawkeye's bow, Daredevil's billy club (non-removable, sorry), Punisher's .45 automatic (also not removable), and Paladin's natural sense of when to get out and go home.
