Recipes:
(?) = Means Im unsure of the exact name of the original
figure, but I will provide as
much information as possible.
CAPTAIN
ATOM
Head:
X-Men, Magneto (?), the one with the removeable helmet
and sparking chest
action.
Torso & Legs: X-Men, Corsair
Arms: X-Men, Krule
Paint:
Citadel Colour & Testors Sealer
Other:
Sculpey to fill in a couple spots on the belt.
Notes:
I had to Dremel the heck out of the arms and a little
bit on the torso and left leg.
The insignia was hand drawn with a fine point, black ink
pen.
NIGHTSHADE
Entire
Figure: Marvel Vs. Capcom female figure (?) packaged with
Capt. America. She
was pink and black with bat wings and green hair.
Ponytail: Iron Man, Blacklash
Paint:
Citadel Colour & Testors Sealer
Other:
Sculpey for hair, mask details and back fill in. Cloth
skirt cut from an Iron Winch
Batman cape. Super Glue for the skirt and ponytail.
Notes:
Much dremeling on the arms. The figures original hair
peeled off easily by hand.
The wings on her back also popped right off. I cut the
wings off her head and wing
hinges on her back with a razor cutter.
JUDO
MASTER
Head:
LODK, sword fighting (?) Batman.
Arms: TJLA, Superman.
Legs: STAS, Kryptonite Armored Luthor from Super Heroes
vs. Supervillains 4 pack.
Torso: Spiderman, Green Goblin.
Ponytail: Fantastic 4, Sub-Mariner.
Paint:
Citadel Colour & Testors Sealer
Other:
Hanging part of belt was cut with scissors from a random
Batman cape. Super
Glue for ponytail and belt. Hanging part of belt was cut
with scissors from a random
Batman cape. Sculpey pantlegs.
Notes: A little Dremeling was required for the torso and
head. Heavy Dremeling on legs.
The joint holes on the torso needed to be Dremeled slightlty
to fit the limbs.
THUNDERBOLT
Arms,
Legs and Torso: X-Men, Weapon-X Wolverine.
Head: Iron Man, Grey Gargoyle.
Paint:
Citadel Colour & Testors Sealer
Other:
Sculpey for belt and anklets.
Notes:
Medium Dremeling on the entire body to eliminate the little
mechanisms, toes and
shorts. The belt detail was done with a fine tip, black
ink
pen
SARGE
STEEL
Entire
figure: Spiderman Sneak Attack, J. Jonah Jameson.
Left Hand: X-Men, X-Cutioner
Paint:
Citadel Colour & Testors Sealer
Other:
I still havent found one, but he really needs a
Luger in his right hand. His left
hand was attached with Super Glue.
Notes:
This was too easy. A 1 second Dremel to get rid of his
mustache and the rest was a
repaint. I used a razor cutter to remove the hands.
THE
QUESTION
Entire
Figure: Sneak Attack Spiderman, Spider Sense Peter Parker.
Paint:
Citadel Colour & Testors Sealer
Other:
Hat, collar, tie and fill in were done with Sculpey.
Notes:
Again, very easy. I dremeled off the facial details and
filled in with Sculpey. The
hat was a bit difficult to get just right. Its still
not as good as I hoped. I removed the
vest/jacket and dremeled off the Press Pass. The figure
and vest were painted separately
and put together when dry, then a final paint touch up
job.
SILVER
AGE BLUE BEETLE (Dan Garrett)
Head:
Marvel Super-Heroes, Silver Surfer
Arms: STAS, Kryptonite Armored Luthor from Super Heroes
vs. Supervillains 4 pack.
Legs: LOTDK, Azrael
Torso: TJLA, Superman
Paint:
Citadel Colour & Testors Sealer
Other:
Sculpey belt and scarab. The right hand was cut with a
razor and repositioned with
Super Glue.
Notes:
Nothing too special. Standard Dremeling of arms and a
little on the legs after
razoring off the pointy leg things. The scarab was detailed
with a fine tip, black ink pen.
PEACEMAKER
Arms,
Legs & Torso: Pirate (?), Batman that has the red
button in his back that makes his
arm move.
Head: Marvel Super-Heroes, Dr, Octopus
Helmet: Iron Man, Mandarin
Paint:
Citadel Colour & Testors Sealer
Other:
The collar and additional helmet arch was
made from Sculpey. Belt and jet pack
straps were cut from an X-Men, Kane II harness. Jet Pack
was made from two like guns
from a Congo figure (?). I just cut the enormous barrels
off and Super Glued them side by
side on his back. The chest insignia was hand drawn on
a piece of paper and glued into
place. The gun is just a random piece from my neverending
arsenal.
Notes:
The body require heavy Dremeling. I cut the dangling part
of the belt and button
on his back with a razor and filled in any holes with
Sculpey. The Doc Oc head was
shaved down on the sides with the Dremel tool and the
Madarin helmet was Super Glued
onto it, with additional Dremeling to remove minor details.
It was easier than it sounds.
