"Look, up in the sky! It's a bird! It's a plane! It's...SUPERMAN!"

Hasbro announced its new Superman: The Movies line this week, and shocked the toy market with its bold marketing. Targeting older collectors who remember the Christopher Reeve movies, a Hasbro spokesman told us the popularity of the animated style and the collectability of the films is sure to make the line a hit.

SUPERMAN: THE MOTION PICTURE

LOIS LANE: "You've got me?! Who's got you!" Lois has long been sought after in action figure form, and now collectors get their chance! Lois is equipped with a typewriter, and is best at getting herself captured, kidnapped, trapped under elevators, and buried under hundreds of tons of rocks.		PERRY WHITE: "The world doesn't make sense, Kent. You oughtta know that by now." As Lois, Clark, and Jimmy's employer, Perry White runs the Daily Planet with all the efficiency a hot-tempered, old fashioned, crusty old man can. Perry is equipped with his desk and a copy of his proud newspaper.

SUPERMAN II

GENERAL ZOD: "Revenge! We will kill the son of our jailor!" The ruthless traitor to an extinct civilization, General Zod emerges from the Phantom Zone bent on the domination of earth and revenge upon Superman. Zod has a chunk of brick and concrete whick he uses to bludgeon Superman.

NON: "(Grunt, snort)" The witless right hand of General Zod is as ruthless as he is brainless. Non thoughtlessly ransacks a hick town, defaces national monuments, and steals little blinking lights off the top of police cars to please his master. Non goes to battle with a tire and a bent girder.

URSA: "He cares for these Earth people...like pets." Ursa is a strange and powerful beauty, suddenly released from her exile to the Phantom Zone. Drawn to General Zod's power, she seeks to make him the most dominant being in the galaxy. Ursa has torn a lightpost from the sttreet to club Superman.
