Xmen Universe Classics
PBToys, after recently acquiring the rights to produce 6" Marvel
action figures, is pleased to announce their first two waves
of the newest line "Xmen Universe Classics". This
line introduces a new concept in collecting that PBToys is
calling the "Bonus Component". This concept means
that each figure will come with either an accessory, mini figure,
or parts to construct a larger character/accessory. In the
first two waves there will be 9 carded figures.
Wave 1 consists
of Strong Guy, Kylun, Puck, Micromax, and Deathbird. Wave 2
consists of Impulse, Mentor, Neutron, and Warstar. 7 of these
figures will contain parts to construct a giant figure of Micromax
while 2 figures will come with smaller characters - Puck will
contain a miniature and fully posable Micromax and Warstar
will come with the removable and posable C'cil. These are expected
to hit stores in late fall 2010.
Says PBToys founder Alan Virgoe, "The
Xmen Universe is so vast and filled with rich and colourful
characters that it only made sense that our first foray into
the action figure realm would revolve around them. Wave 1 introduces
characters that fans have been asking for to help fill out
the rosters of some teams, plus you get one of the quintessential
villains in Deathbird. Wave 2 is very Imperial Guard centric.
The four characters in Wave 2 (5 if you count the Bonus character
C'cil) help form the core of the Guard. Warstar and Neutron
are quite imposing simply by sheer size alone! All these figures
will definitely look great on any collectors shelf! And in
the new year we will be debuting a second line - Avengers Universe
Classics. Details to be revealed soon!
