Recipes:
Splinter: Just a modified movie Splinter. It may
seem a waste of time, but I dislike "soft goods" on
action figures, plus I wanted him to have a slightly less animated
appearance so he would fit in with my 5" Marvel style figures!
Karai: Made from a Karai head, Lady Deathstrike torso,
Vindicator hips, legs and arms, Batman Begins ninja hands, cheap
ninja gauntlets and Psylocke swords. Many thanks to Adam
Hammond for providing gratis further swords to finish the figure!
Guardian Ninjas: Both made from the oft-reused Archangel
body, Streetfighter Gambit coats, transforming Ghost Rider arms,
John Blaze heads, cheap ninja swords and hands from cheap military
figures, Captain America and the aformentioned Archangel body. Again,
many thanks to Adam for making this possible by providing another
Gambit coat! I quite like how the figures have turned out,
but the coats are very sticky now they've been painted. I
find this a lot with this kind of plastic, anyone else?
Foot Ninjas: Spider-man figures with cheap Ninja gauntlets,
Psylocke sashes, Iolas swords, wide rubber bands and offcuts
from cheap flak jackets. I know they're off model, but
I really liked how the Psylocke sashes looked. I stuck
on the mask ties too, but they didn't look right to me so I removed
them.
Mephos: Made from a Black Bolt body, Mr Sinister head,
Mutant Armor Xavier shoulder pads and wings from a Robin figure. I
thought I'd never make Mephos, but then I saw those wings and
decided they'd look great. Even though they're completely
off-model. My thought processes are a mystery.
Raptarr: Another Black Bolt body with a Dan Ketch head
and the wings (And back) from Zauriel.
