Borg Kirk & Spock

In an alternate universe somewhere, these two space buddies managed to get themselves assimilated. I figured, if Picard could become Borg, let's have some fun with two other Star Trek dignitaries.

I used an Art Asylum Klingon Borg figure for Kirk's body (fans can enjoy the irony) and several other "mechanical" looking pieces. I wanted to create the figures to retain its Borg qualities yet be distinct from other Borgs. I found that Kirk & Spock heads had the best likeness from the Mego dolls and they happen to be in scale with the body.

Intended for combat unit, Kirk is maxed out with a huge cybertronic arm, a rotating drill for self repairs, and sports a shoulder pulsar cannon assimilated from an undisclosed alien technology. All 3 components can swivel and allow some movement.

Being a Science Officer, Spock's modulation is equipped for exterior cube repairs/upgrades. Any remnants of hands have been replaced with ultimate machinery.

A built from scratch portable re-generator unit is mounted on his shoulder and a mystery device is located beneath his chest plate. Both figures measure 8.5 inches and features some articulation.

Deluxe Borg Spock, Designation: the Hellraiser

Spock's character is so interesting as a being of Science that I wanted to portray him as an entity of destruction. Standing 9 inches tall and designed to engage resistance, his enormous right claw was taken from a Samurai Skeletor figure, along with various custom parts, and grafted onto his arm. Modifications and sculpting was done on a Mego Spock head, with a detachable re-generator panel located off-shoulder. Alternate claw can swivel and clamp. Intricate detailing was done throughout the figure and finished with a sheen of metallic paint, brush & air applications. I chose this designation to depict someone who is "lively" at a party. Don't you think Spock would finally have a good time as a Borg?
