Custom Recipes: Scooby Doo: The Movies
6” Fred :
Fred here is a Normon Osbourne from the first Spidey movie,
with quite a lot of work done on the head, he still looks
like an old guy tho unfortunately...not too bad tho :
6” Daphne :
Who better for a Sarah Michelle Gellar figure than Buffy? This
is the standard Buffy from wave two, the hat is made from some
appropriate fabric I found, the rest is milliput. Velma :
Velma began life as Scully from the X-Files, with a lot of
sanding on her legs, and then the chunky knitted jumper built
up with milliput...rubber bands for the tops of her long
socks, and wire glasses.
Shaggy :
Shaggy is a very much shortened Giles figure from the Buffy
range, with the arms of an Oz figure, with milliput hair and
beard. Luckily Giles’ wrinkles are painted rather than
sculpted, avoiding an old looking Shaggy to match geriatric
Fred!
Scooby Doo :
Scooby started life as a Scooby Doo bendy toy...the legs were
in an ‘all-fours’ position, but his head was
in more of an upright position, so with some careful cuts
in the rubber and a lot of restructuring with milliput, I
was able to get him how I wanted him. I also sanded his face
and sculpted the details to make him look more like movie
Scooby, who has a different face to cartoon Scooby.
4” Fred :
This is a standard Fred from Equity’s Mystery Inc box
set, with his collar and ascot sanded away, and the new outfit
sculpted over the top.
4” Daphne :
Similarly, Daphne came from the Mystery Inc box set, with a
resculpted outfit.
Patrick :
This is the body of Mulder from the X-Files, and the head of
Scoot Evil from Austin Powers, which I feel is a better Seth
Green likeness that the BtVS Oz figure. The head is too big
for the body but it kind of gives him a slightly cartoony
feel. The glasses are made from wire just like Velma’s. |
