Wave 1: Ghost Rider Rides Again

Stacy Dolan |
Deathwatch |
Stacy Dolan:
This figure is based on Stacy’s attire in issue 50.
She uses a Battle Blasters Jean Grey Torso and Head,
Bloodstorm’s legs and Black Queen’s Jacket and
arms .
Her gun is from a cheap Police figure and her belt
comes from Black Queen’s energy spear. I’m quite
disappointed with Stacy. She’s a bit too tall, and
she has an awfully strange posture, especially with
the splayed out fingers on her left hand. I may try
again, but putting her in another outfit like the suit
she sometimes wore. I hope to make a Dan Ketch soon,
to replace the transforming version and his huge
chest.
Deathwatch:
Made from an X-Force Black Tom, with a Hercules head
and AOA Wolverine’s right hand. Mask was made from a
Citadel Miniatures shield. I think he’s okay, the
base figure was ideal. However, the Hercules head has
quite a thick neck, and the hairline isn’t accurate.
Like Centurious, the mask is removable.

Michael Badilino |
Zodiak |
Michael Badilino:
This figure is based on Badilino’s appearance during
the few issues of Ghost Rider that he was headlining.
The body is Spider Sense Peter Parker, and the head is
from a Mutant X Havok. His gun and holster come from
yet another cheap Police figure, and his night-stick
(Is that what they’re called? I’m English, we have
truncheons over here) is a wrestling accessory. I’ve
never seen him use a night-stick, but I thought it
looked cool.
Zodiak:
I’m quite happy with this one, I think he looks kind
of sinister. He was made with a Spiderman body, a
Marvel Dark Side Dormammu head and a JLA Martian
Manhunter cape. I’m a bit concerned I may have
trimmed the back of the cape too short, and the collar
looks huge. Also, the ankh is a bit messy.

Centurious |
Caretaker |
Centurious:
I’m quite disappointed with this one, I think it
really shows up my lack of experience. He was made
using a Spiderman torso, a Star Trek Picard head, the
arms and legs from the first Colossus figure, the
hands from a Spider Sense Peter Parker and a cape from
a Superman Steel. The mask is a modified Visionaries
helmet that used to belong to Lexor. The helmet is
removable, but the paint job on the face is abysmal.
This custom was inspired by Luke Thompson of Whizkid’s
toys, a talented customiser with a great site
(whizkidtoys.topcities.com). I plan to have another
crack at Centurious, using Black Tom’s arms, and
perhaps Mr Sinister’s legs.
Caretaker:
Caretaker was made using Spider Sense Peter Parker
torso and legs, the head from a Star Trek Dixon Hill
Picard and the arms from an Extreme Ghostbusters
Eduardo. The shovel is a wrestling accessory.
Caretaker was my first custom, not counting a really
bad Aunt May figure. I’m not sure I like how he
turned out, the arms and hands are quite
disproportionate, but I think he’ll do. Also, it’s
the wrong kind of shovel.

Lilith |
Carver |
Lilith:
Possibly my favourite. Lilith was made using the head
and arms from a Bloodstorm figure, the legs and torso
of a Black Queen and the cape from a Batman and Robin
Batgirl. She has trouble standing. I’m quite happy
with how her head turned out, it looks better from the
side though.
Carver:
Carver was made using the head from the first Colossus
figure, the arms from a Hercules, the torso and legs
of an AOA Wolverine and the cape from a Robin. His
blades came from an X-men/X-Force figure, but I’m not
sure which, and his belt is from a cheap Police
figure. There’s a holster for one of the blades on
the back of the belt. Carver turned out a bit too
short, and I still haven’t found a suitable base for
his strange pet monkey-cyborg-thing. |
