Just because every Custom Con should have a Legion section,
here is the continuation of my Legion that debuted at Custom
Con 9. A quick review: The Legion is a futuristic team of super
powered teenagers that have banded together to protect the
United Planets from villainous threats.
Legion Villains
Brain Globe: What’s not to like about the Brain Globes
of Rambat? How about the nasty little evil streak that every
one of them seem to have?
Charma: Yowza. Every team needs more hot, evil women to fight;
especially if they have red hair. Charma appears to be able
to suggest things to the opposite sex. Women hate her and men
love her. She’ll just break their hearts though, although
sometimes she just leaves them with a festering knife wound.
Here you see her as she first appeared in the reboot, with
a couple extra adornments thrown in… really a woman named
Charma would probably go all out on jewelry don’t you
think?
Gil Dan: Even the Brain Globes of Rambat need somebody to
make fun of. Enter the Gil Dishpans…They are another race
of shifty, evil aliens. Unfortunately their race’s name
is easy to mistranslate which resulted in them being referred
to as “Dishpans”. Just call them Gil Dans and they
won’t hardly even notice you.
Singularity: One of the more interesting sorts that came
out of The Legion Lost maxi series. He didn’t start out as
a villain, but let’s just say he’s never been on
The Legion’s good side. And he doesn’t care. He’s
a powerhouse with an attitude and a lot of followers.
Gif Kneinepanel: Since The Legion needs more villains, I
decided to include some generic White Triangle types. The White
Triangle
is a group of “like-minded” supremacists. I guess
you’d call them the 30th Century version of a hate group.
You’d better pay attention to these guys though as they
hail from Daxam (the planet where everybody is born with Superman
type powers). Here you see Gif Kneinepanel whose appearance
was tragically cut from the final version of the White Triangle
arc.
Mort Imer: Here you see another member of the White Triangle,
Mort Imer, whose appearance was also edited out for time
considerations. Unfortunately, communication from editors to
the toy producers
was lacking, so the figures were produced even though they
never appeared in the story. Don’t be surprised if
you see this guy warming the pegs.
Lemtik Curcholg: Here you see the one White Triangle guy
who actually made it into the story and had a figure made.
He’s
a bad, black-haired dude.
Mordru: I guess every team needs an all powerful Sorcerer
for an enemy. I’m surprised that the Silver Age creators
didn’t name him Dirt Nap Lad.
Universo: Once the all powerful sorcerer spot was taken,
it only seemed natural for someone to step into the all powerful
telepath bent on dominating the universe role.
Scavenger: In all honesty, I know very little about the
Scavenger character. I do know that he appeared in a legion
story arc
and since the Legion needs more villain action figures… this
obscure character got made. From what I gather, The Scavenger
is the pack rat of the DC Universe and he apparently has a
long life expectancy. He’s goes around gathering up DCU
trinkets and holds on to them, for like ever. He’s a
real MOC type, I guess. |
