Sillof's Daredevil: Through the Ages

Sillof's Daredevil: Through the Ages

This summer Sillof will bring us a line that is a brings his favorite character to life in numerous incarnations. The line spans various artists, eras, toylines and what ifs.

Not only does each character match the subtle changes to the costume and look of Daredevil over the years, but Sillof even tried to match the style in which each artist drew Daredevil and the color scheme and style each was colored in.

Bill Everett

The figure captures the simple classic lines of the cover of Daredevil #1. He features crisp vibrant colors and is free of any shading or shadows.

Jack Kirby

Gene Colan

The figure has the strong lines and square jaw of Colan's DD. Hehas a heavy wash to represent Colan's heavy use of dark shadows.

Frank Miller

The figure has the traditional build and style of Miller's work on Daredevil. The colors are bright red with a slight dark wash which hints at Miller's noir style.

Tim Sale

The figure has the lean, elongated frame of Sale's DD. His colors are more muted like the watercolor look of the Daredevil: Yellow miniseries.

Alex Maleev

The figure has long, lean muscular frame of Maleev's work. The paint job is dark and gritty and was partially applied by a sponge to match Maleev's grainy style of artwork.

What if Daredevil was made in the following toy lines...

What if Daredevil was drawn by...

Ed McGuiness

The figure has massive musculature, super broad shoulders, and square jaw. He also has a bright red paint scheme to represent the colorful palette of McGuiness's art.

Mike Mignola

The figure has the bulky, rough, and expressionistic style. His color scheme is dark with a heavy wash which represents Mignola's use of shadow.

Matt Groening

A bit of a joke, but a wonderful combination if you love Homer Simpson and Daredevil

Style of a fun kid's animated show

Has the simplified look and caricature nature of a kid's TV show.

Sillof

Sillof attempted to redesign his favorite character Daredevil in a modern comic book style.
