Futurama PALz
After years of wrangling to get the license for Futurama block
figures, PALz, Inc. is proud to announce their first series for
the popular animated series. “We’ve been deluged
by e-mails, letters, and shiny metal asses of fans who want to
see these made—and we finally get to
do ‘em right!” said Quinn Rollins, brand manager
for the PALz block figures.
The first series includes Bender, Fry, and Leela—the
triad at the heart of the series. “We figured we’d
give fans what they want right out of the gates, and then hook
them with more characters down the road.” Series
two features Professor Farnsworth, Amy, and Zapp Branigan; Series
three has fan-favorite Dr. Zoidberg, Hermes, and Kiff. Future
plans include a Planet Express spaceship/playset, and a Build-Your-Own
Alien Pack that includes enough alien parts and pieces to make
six different aliens in hundreds of exotic combinations.
“We’re pumped to have this line flourishing when
Comedy Central’s new episodes start up in a few years,” Rollins
said, “so
they’d better not suck.”
